Any accidents occuring at a South run event should be reported on the online accident form. EH are compiling a record of all hockey accidents that require a visit to hospital, please report using the monitoring report.

Fiona is there to ensure that as an organisation we adhere to the required policies and is the first point of contact should you have any concerns. Amongst other things, she will:

  • recognise that all young people participating in hockey (regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability or disability) have the right to play in an environment free from poor practice, abuse and harm
  • always approach safeguarding with a young person perspective, ensuring the individual’s wellbeing is the prime focus

South News

Coronavirus As of 04 September, the Return to Play has reached stage 5 allowing competitive hockey. Please see the EH website. EH have cancelled the Super 6s due to the issues organising an indoor event, EH News item.

SCHA AGM The SCHA AGM has been delayed and is likely to be in October. It is likely to be an electronic meeting.

Sanctions for Covid 19 Offences EH brought in a range of new penalties for Red Cards and MMOs where there has been a breach of Covid 19 regulations. The minimum suspensions will be:

  • regulation 6.5(a) - 45 days (no violence used, attempted treatened)
  • regulation 6.5(b) - 60 days (violence to player used, attempted or treatened)
  • regulation 6.5(c) - 90 days (violence to official used, attempted or threatened)
