Notts Sport Schools Championship for Boys - South Rounds

England Hockey released in April 2018 plans to revamp the schools' championships in to a tiered event, details are available on the schools' page.

The South is scheduled to run:

  • a tournament-based one-term event for intermediate and emerging schools at U18 and U16 (U18 T4, U16 T3)
  • a tournament-based one-term event for high performance and intermediate schools at U14 (U14 T1)
  • a tournament-based one-term event for energing schools 7-a-side at U16 and U14 (U16 T4, U14 T2)

Separate events for U18 and U16 are being run by England Hockey. Entries for which open in mid-May. Once entries close, we will be able to see which events schools have entered nationally and will be able to assess what is required within the South for 2018-19.

Indoor Success: The following won national titles Whitgift (Schools U16B & U18B), Cranleigh (Schools U16G), Winchester (Club U16B), Guildford (Club U18B).

Rule Changes 2019 FIH have issued a new set of outdoor rules that become effective internationally on 01 Jan 19. EH have indicated that they will not be implemented domestically during the 2018-19 season. EH Statement.
